the last market survey of flue gas cleaning systems in the clay brick and tile industry was published in 1998. Over the past ten years the state of the art at that time has been crucially influenced buy two developments in Germany, the amendment of the Technical Instructions of Air quality Control – Ta Luft and the drafting of the reference document on the best available techniques in the ceramics industry, both on national and European levels. This is reason enough to present current developments in flue gas cleaning for the clay brick and tile industry
