Rapid prototyping of ceramic components

The present work presents two solid freeform fabrication techniques which are specially designed for the rapid prototyping of ceramic. The Layer-wise Slurry Deposition (LSD) is an improved selective laser sintering technique, in which a water based ceramic slurry is deposited as thin layers for the layerwise build up of ceramic parts. The 3D Laser Surface Sintering (3D-LSS) technique is a combination of 3D surface milling and laser sintering.
