RESUMEN:

The invention relates to a substrate for the settlement of coral larvae, consisting of a system comprising three plates couplable to known aquariums and traps, which are adapted depending on the settlement stage, the first plate having a high-relief ceramic substrate, the second plate having a low-relief ceramic substrate, and the third plate having a double-faced high-relief ceramic substrate, the three plates having textures similar to the calcareous skeletons of coral, both in size and in proportion by stages. The internal texture of the substrates has an engraving similar to that of the calcareous skeletons of coral, the internal area delimiting the settlement of the larvae, allowing the concentration of same, and having high- and low-relief surfaces with straight edges and a controlled thickness for the manipulation of same in laboratories, aquariums and in the field. High- and low-relief surfaces are obtained, thus allowing the coral species that attach themselves inside the substrate to be kept alive, as it is possible to contain the water needed to keep same alive. The high and low reliefs have an external perimeter border that allows the substrates to remain secured during transport and immersion activities.
